you passed me by
it was raining
I was on the street with my head down
thinking of cleansing sidewalk grime
I saw your face warping in a slap of puddle
I know well the finite curves of your jaw
did you know that
you never knew the curves of mine
I need someone to know my curves
not the soft arc cylinders praised in romance novels
but the invisible shapes that fit one into the other
that’s what I need
I’ll say my goodbyes in this puddle
to your thoughtless lines
parallels never meeting
and lift my head when the spherical sun returns
and the dirty sidewalks sparkle
Gea drawn long ago when my name was much shorter 🙂
I kind of miss having someone who knows my curves…Gea is lovely. – Fawn

Your are such a lovely woman, Fawn – well-rounded, talented and generous. You’re so busy helping humankind, if you paused a moment to glance ’round, you’d find a gentleman or two staring at the beautiful woman with the warm eyes and bright smile.
I know this for certain and I’m rarely wrong on these matters!!!

Thank you, John.
I don’t do many abstracts, in fact, quite rarely. This one is old, but I must have kept it around for a reason.
Have a terrific weekend. Hey, aren’t you supposed to be traveling somewhere now?

Oh yes, we are already in Pam Springs and have been out and about. my wife lived in the area many years ago so I have a travel guide! We will be here almost a week. It’s just a five hour drive from Vegas.

My curves went with him when he crossed over and I have more abstract and straight lines now. Nice poem and lovely drawing.

Okay, so, do you, like, ever sleep? Or are these incredible lines/verses/poems just pouring out of you night and day? Whatever you’ve tapped into, don’t mess with it. You’re blowin’ my mind here is what you’re doing. You know, a line like “your face warping in a slap of puddle” I can so now recognize as an AMRKian line, the oddly juxtaposed words creating a fresh description/image that can only be written by you. Amazing. And the art is terrific, of course, and if I may ask, What is Gea? As a name, I mean?

I have been having trouble sleeping. The stuff is like gunked and oozing weirdly. I’m not sure that it’s good:)
I honestly don’t know what I’m doing. And doing the only thing that makes sense at the moment – going with the gunk flow…
I believe someone called this type of weird writing – neologism. I’d never heard of it before – why didn’t I think of it 😉
Gea is just a name. I do love making up names.
Morning, Miss Deb or should I now call you Platinum Goddess reborn –

Nope, you’re wrong. Not “neologism” — it’s called “good writing” (better than “good,” but you get my point). We’ll talk re: “gunk flow,” and I may have to slap some sense into you re: your own talent. And as for not sleeping: Give up the cocoa (it’s got caffeine); also, don’t write right before bedtime (your brain goes into overdrive and won’t shut off; I know from experience). 🙂

I sense I’m in trouble. Remember, I’m mucho bigger than you 😉
I know, the caffeine thing, but I have slept on pots of coffee with no problem (maybe they were softer 😉 )
You are my guru – yell away, Miss Deb.
Remember, I’m on little sleep though 😉

I did coach a high school tennis team once, so watch out. 😉 Seriously, I didn’t sleep at your age either (ha! I sound like a granny here). This too shall pass. And you’re not in trouble … but you probably should go back to bed, Miss. 🙂

Rather than trying to remember dates, I often enjoy, putting art in a ‘living’ frame. Glad I made you chuckle :)!

Especially love these lines! So true in today’s world of media crazed photo shopping. Big curves, slight curves — all are good!

See how well loved you are AnnMarie! And always remember, your world that says You are here has curves on it so no worries…Not for a super hero anyways. I have to check out what is wrong with my site as I have not received any of your updates for quite a few days!

Morning Alan.
How are you? I missed your lovely face 🙂
I’ve been on Sinatra loop and he sings everyday “…when you’re old ‘n gray…” and I keep thinking why is Frank crooning about you and your blog? 😉
Thank you for your kindnesses, as always.
annmarie:)
I definitely know I’m not any kind of superhero, as it takes me 3 hours to clean my house. If I could be one though, I’d love to be the female version of Mr. Clean 😉

Hello AnnMarie,
Very well, thank you. Hmmm…Frankly…I’m not sure why he does that :o)
I get it now, you are the shy hero type. This I can believe because we see super hero’s like Superman and Batman leading two very different lives, like you! Remember, not all super hero’s are alike and each have their unique super powers. I only recall one that could twitch her nose and everything worked the way she wanted, well, most of the time. Better to take 3 hours than be referred to as a bewitched young lady .o) Ouch…my eye…

You are very sweet, Alan.
Maybe that’s it – I’m a witchie poo – but the good kind like Glenda. I always thought her crown looked like a clear garbage pail with stars stuck on top. For a good witch she had poor crown style. Her evil sister was much more en vogue 😉

I started typing this out and it disappeared. OldenGray applies here. I agree with your take on the crown but was more thinking down the lines of the I Dream of Jeannie lady. Change her hair color to match yours and mix in some Bobbie Gentry (with the twitch of the nose) and I am sure even the Giant Husband might agree. :o)

Could I please be the witch? I’d much rather fly on a broomstick than be stuck in a bottle and call a man “Master” 😉
