      • I’m so happy reading this – ’cause – I’m never quite sure if I have a ‘voice’ like one has an artistic style. I’m experimenting with my art too. Right now I’m working on a painting – a portrait of my nutty dogs – and I’m attempting a big departure from my normal ‘style’ – we’ll see. If I don’t destroy the piece it might show up here at some point 🙂
Hope all is well with you and your family.

      • Yes…that was a huge departure from your usual posts and made me chuckle! So so different. I am intrigued to hear that you are now experimenting with your Artwork too…it all sounds SO wonderful…one of these days I might just get round to posting some of my stuff up…be it old stuff, and perhaps even some new! I must learn to be more disciplined and dedicated towards doing my Art as it is my first and foremost passion. Hope that new piece in the pipeline doesn’t get destroyed, would love to see it. Bon Chance with it all, hope goes well, energy to your creativity, take care 🙂 x we are all well, thank you. My son was a little disappointed with his exam results as he is hoping to go to Uni next year, but luckily he has another year at school to gain some more good grades…never a dull moment a. m.! • Hi Krystyna –
Yes, I’m departing all over the place 😉 For the most part, my art has down-sized – that is to say – I constrain myself to 9″x12″ so I can get many pieces done. I’m a big canvas type of gal at heart. This pet painting is a large canvas – so I’m really enjoying 🙂 Yes, if I don’t destroy it – it will appear at some point.
I’d love to see some of your art. I often blend in new pieces with many old ones too. Some go all the way back to college and before that even 🙂 You should show your old stuff too – no shame in that 🙂
My daughter is entering her senior year of high school – it’s amazing the external pressures put on these kids – with all these exams. I’m sure, with someone like you in his corner, your son will figure it all out and do well if that’s what he wants to work toward. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for all these kiddies 🙂
Have a wonderful day of no worries 😉

      • How interesting…lots and lots of new directions! One of these days a m I will surprise you all and post up some Art…much as I love photography, also. Starting with the old ones…I shall wait with eager anticipation for your next piece of Artwork and in the meantime keep exploring and walking in pastures new! Life is constant change…and I feel all that we do needs to be constantly evolving. So so easy to get stuck in a rut!!! My son was a wee bit disappointed with his results…3 good passes out of 4, Highers, and unfortunately 1 fail in Chemistry. He has 1 more year at school to get the grades he needs for Uni. Such a tough time for these young folk as they are often having to deal with emotions of the heart at the same time…I e girlfriends, intense young love etc etc…yep fingers crossed for your daughter too. It’s a tough cut throat world out there, take care a m and am off out now to enjoy the Sunshine! K 🙂 x

      • I keep experimenting with both the writing and the art. I’m not really the ‘cussing-type’ in the written word, but I try breaking out now and again. I look forward to viewing your art one of these days too 🙂
Good luck to your son – it is difficult for these kids today – so many more paper hurdles to leap over… and yes, those young ages of dating when hearts are still exploring – many stumbles in those early explorations.
Your son is lucky to have you and that’s where he finds his balance 🙂
Nothing like a glorious day of sunshine after the rain 🙂 Enjoy!

      • Thank you for listening. Going to be an important year for him, this one…hope we can keep him focused and on track. Life is so so demanding for our children nowadays…ah well, all we can do is our best and your comments are a much appreciated support. Thanks my “over the water” friend, take care and hope your Sunday is sunny! 🙂 K x

      • My husband is looking forward to the nursery closing down for winter too:) All is fine here just quite a bit going on and around – nothing bad, just many, many changes.
I do hope you and your family can do some well-earned hibernating this winter:)

      • Yes…a much needed break at this time of year, although financially we have to tighten our belts…kind of difficult with the consumerist demands of Christmas yapping at your heels…! Ah…will do our best to keep sight of the real message of this festive season! Don’t worry, I’m not a Bah, Humbug person… 🙂 lots of changes can be unsettling for a while. Hope you manage to keep afloat? Am I right in thinking your mum-in-law was going to come and stay with you? Forgive me if I’ve got you mixed up…been a while…If so, then that is a huge change of circumstances! Whatever is going on…big hugs, big breaths and all the very best with all you are needing to address! Bit of a Whirlwind going on here also…stir in Christmas ingredients, mix, and hope for the best! Seriously, we are all fine. My good wishes to you all and enjoy and chill and relax this Holiday! Take care… X

      • Krystyna,
Yes, my mother-in-law has taken up residence in our home. She took my studio and piano rooms – I’ve moved to the basement. Now, my parents have just sold their home and are aslo moving very close by. It’s much all at once, but all good -:)
I wish you a joyous and peaceful Christmas.

  1. Luv, luv, luv your experimentation, Miss. Is there anything you can’t do? What’s interesting, to me anyway, is that your word experimentation is always successful — so that it doesn’t seem to be “experimental” at all, but rather assured, confident work. This post demonstrates your ability to “paint” characterization and employ diaglogue at will. I’s so jealous you (wine kicking in). 🙂 BTW: These cows are great, so well done, so realistic. BTW: Cows are great, aren’t they?

  2. The cussing fit with dude won and dude too…my favorite part was getting high on the cannibal plant, though. Sweet dreams (those look like the “happy cows” the California milk industry talks about in their advertising! – Fawn

    • Hi Fawn –
Truth – I almost didn’t hit the publish button on this one – which in my mind is now akin to the Bat-Phone… I just wasn’t sure and didn’t want to offend. I did tone it down a bit in my panic – there were a few more colorful phrases I deleted…
Cows are really quite gorgeous and so very tranquil in their way of life…we should be as wise as cows 🙂

  3. Still catching up! Have I been away from reading that long or did I just miss this one? Love the cows. Eons ago we lived in a farm house in Iowa – early years of marriage – huge garden, apple trees, and we rented out our field for cow grazing….such serene creatures.
And here I am, chewing my cud over these words….love the two dudes! Funny and clever juxtaposition: the cows and the dudes. Always clever you are — cussing or not 🙂

    • Darn, Lillian – you really weren’t kidding about “catching up” 😉
I very much appreciate that you’ve taken the time to do so 🙂
I hesitated before hitting ‘Publish’ on this one – cussing really isn’t my thing – but I do want to try different feathered quills 😉
