fashion
I’ve never been accused of having it
there, out there
those ladies and gentlemen
you know who they are
they know who they are
who lived their first lives as display mannequins
clothes on their forms look right
and perfect
me
I stopped looking in mirrors that dip below eye-level
long ago
fashion
I’ll never be accused of having it
still
I’ll always appreciate those who do
it is, after all, an art form
inspired by ‘subbing’ a fashion class – this – my homage to iconic fashion maestro, Erté, circa 1915-1932
created yesterday
Fashion; possibly one of the most pernicious evils of our times?

I suspect you have more fashion sense than I do. Just sayin’. 🙂
It’s always so frustrating to see a great piece of clothing haning on a hanger … and then after trying it on realize the hanger wears it better than I do. That happens a lot.
Great art, again! Glad to see you’re able to “work on the job” — that’s a great job to have! Love the contrast of dark and light here, as well as the ‘throw-back’ feel of the piece, classic.
Hope you’re having a great day! 🙂

you’re funny – no worries – why only today I spelled a guy I adore – Yul Brynner’s name very, very wrong 😉

When it comes to clothing, I was most definitely born in the wrong gen. I ‘woulda’ made a great hippie chick – It seems I’ll never lose my love for all things bell-bottom:)
Than you for the niceties here, D.S. – I much appreciate.

This is a delectable lady!!! Love the drawing….smiling I am.
ah yes…..standing in front of the mirrors as we try on clothes — and swim suits are the most awful! I’ve always thought they should have those more gentle pinkish lights in dressing rooms, instead they are always so harsh!
Dressing to the nines….tis an art for sure!

Thank you, Lillian. I think the folks with fine fashion make it look effortless like ballerinas on point…
We should buy clothes without mirrors. What there should be are big bowls of candy in those dressing rooms 😉

These were quite a bit of fun – I’ve never really done the fashion thing, but I can’t deny I did enjoy the designing:)
