sailing on a kiss

his lips are as close as my skin
there, the moment
the kiss begins
I sail across the sea
clouds billow like the bright sails
of some enchanted schooner
endless waters spin into golden swells
waves foam and crash blinding white
wayward my fleshy compass
and I don’t care
lost is the most exquisite place
I could ever hope to be

  1. Oh that is so beautiful and romantic, Ann Marie! There’s always that one kiss that remains embedded in one’s heart and soul forever. ❤

  2. “wayward my fleshy compass”…..very sensual read….glad I’m doing it over my glass of wine before retiring tonight. Much more appropriate than reading it over a cup of morning coffee 🙂 And I shall retire with this sensual poem and this curvy drawing in mind! Loving your work as always, my friend!
