i tell ya, John, i have family out there protesting – for me – my meager banner is a start –
in the past, i’ve rarely posted ‘politc’ – but our curent present has morphed into something else – and our future will end in one of two ways – my children will be heading into that future
All is well, thanks Ann! The future of America and the entire globe looks scary to me. It doesn’t matter who is in office, things just keep going downhill in my opinion. My dad passed last July, at some point I asked him if he thought America has seen it’s best days. He answered yes. He was 96 years young. Wishing you and yours a fine new week, Ann! ❤️
The climate, food sources, fresh water are indeed backsliding, and weaponry is expanding, but as an eternal optimist – I hold out hope for humanity.
Much of social media compresses people into those damn algorithms – but I believe there’s a tremendous amount of love, goodwill, and people helping people out there in this world of ours – therefore – it ain’t all that bad 😁❤️
here’s to hoping, my friend
Thanks, shared…we are going into an election on this side of the border, hope we won’t have Poilièvre, a pale imitation of trumpist thoughts, but seems your crazy President doesn’t like him….I wish he did, we would have a better chance to beat him….so hoping for a liberal victory, with ou without help from the New Democratic Party and Bloc Québécois, the only thing we are sure, is that we are in a war with the Trump administration and his lackey, or maybe Trump is the lackey of the other one…
I read a bit on your election – from what I gleaned it appears Poiliévre is backsliding. Let’s hope the downward slide continues.
I am heartbroken, as many are here in the US – of what Trump has managed to do so far – many of us wake in a dystopian novel – but – the heart of America still beats – and we will go on protesting and working to write our own epilogue❤️
Yes I do hope Poilièvre will bite the dust, seems this morning the provincial Prime minister of Alberta, closest friend of Trump here, did an interview asking Trump admin to withold tarifs until after the election here…to help the Conservative and Poilièvre, sometimes the friend of our enemy is our best friend..:D
I really do hope that in the US more like you will keep fighting the beast, hopefully mid terms election will improve things…I guess the one that we should not name…must be trying hard to find a way to declare mid term elections void, unless they do favor him…sometimes I feel Canada has become like Austria in 1938, or Ukraine in these times, of course comparing different situations can be misleading….no american troops here, no bombs falling. I will read again George Orwell 1984 and rewatch the Handmaid’s tales and read it again, bof ne need..seems like we are in it live…:)
I have such a strong connection to Canada that this tariff has really affected me. Heartbroken could describe this, Ann. What a slap in the face of the Canadian people. Angry am I!
The US executive branch is not so much slapping, as they’re stabbing in the back – Anger is one of the many emotions running rampant these days.
We continue fighting with our resiliency ❤️
Well stated, my friend 😉

Indeed, my sister and I were talking recently about people in this country, everyone seems to be so angry today, it’s very sad! 😢

It’s easy to give in to the madness – there will be years of this – how we come out on the other side hangs on so many things out of our control –
but the human race doesn’t survive as ‘human’ unless people help people
so those who can – keep moving forward!❤️
