Hey AnnMarie I wish I had good news to tell you. My sister with Bipolar Disorder had a relapse and is very sick she is in bad shape this is the second time she has been in the hospital in two months the new medication they tried on her is not working the hospital she is in is a very bad hospital. She made it worse for herself by not taking her medications. She has been real hurtful and mean to every member of the family. My mom told her if she gets discharged she better find somewhere else to live what my mom really means is until she is all the way better she can’t have a 3rd time around going to the hospital. It’s been a lot to deal with. I stopped taking her calls because they were causing me to smoke because such bad stress. I quit smoking 17 days when I finally went to stay at my apartment for a long time it helped getting away from it after 6 weeks of dealing with her I was just done. It’s up to the hospital to get her better. At my building smoking is not allowed on the grounds so that helped me not smoke but more to do with me relaxing in my apartment and getting space. To add another positive thing is I got one month until I see the Diabetes Dr and based on my last two months of amazing sugars my A1C should drop more. It’s hard to strike a balance being in support of someone in someone in your family with a mental illness you first have to understand the illness has taken over only the doctor’s can fix that Sometimes to try to help someone with mental health problems we must first have our mental health well. Well hope you had a good 4th. You are the beautifulest girl I have ever seen. You can have any amount of wrinkles on your face or other imperfections but I see it the way I call it. I’m older now too now no longer a young man at 41. I lack a mid life crisis I just go on writing my stories and enjoying myself. I sent my friend Cristy’s grandson born this past April the month I’m born in stuffed animals. Khari will love it. Stay beautiful and well keep up the masterpieces! Art truly captures the soul!

oh Dan, I’m sorry for your sister’s health and how it is affecting your family – but you all are supportive – and support sometimes must arrive in the form of tough love.
