little red suitcase

new poem “Little Red Suitcase” published in oddball – this very cool magazine
I hope you’ll check it out. I kept a little red suitcase in my childhood bedroom closet for many years-
I was always ready to run away…

  1. Good for you AnnMarie! Glad to hear you are growing lots of legs from the magazines. Beautiful! Hope you had a great Holiday. I am looking forward to Christmas. I have just been relaxin and taking it easy. I need to recharge and heal. I am watching The Twilight Zone all 165 episodes and binge watching Stranger Things. Let me hear how you are doing ttys my very good friend!

  2. Budgie One and Budgie Two… well, yes, I suppose that’s better than Parakeet Five and Parakeet Six– tho it’s debatable… πŸ₯πŸ₯

They sit in their cage, and scowl at the mirror, and ponder their mortality. Gee, they sound almost human… πŸ”πŸ”πŸ—πŸ—πŸš‘

Those concluding lines are a killer:

No flying away when the windows are shut
and people are supposed to love you.

I tried to explain it to Charlie, but he couldn’t hear me. πŸΆβœ‚οΈπŸš‘

Powerful stuff, AM, well done!! 😊
