II did this sculpture at 17 years of age. It was the only one, of four sculptures, to return home without crumbling. Sadly, she did eventually break apart. I never gave her the fighting chance she’d deserved.
I wasn’t interested in school. It was difficult for me to take direction from anyone. I was one of those perpetual daydreamers. Perhaps, if I’d listened to my art teacher, my sculptures would’ve survived.
The image shown here I call Grieving Woman in Clay. She was about two feet long. To this day, her image remains in my studio. The loss of her long ago, is what prompted my return to clay 44 years later…
I hope you’re all managing with this weather.
am:)
Finally I have some good news My A1C dropped from 10.1 to 9.2. wrote 3 books on my 4th. now. That book has problems lol the star is in it for one scene so far. I got a stalker now she walked into my apartment dropped my mail on the ground, asked me if i was mad at her then said I need to contact her and left cough drops by my door and I told just one person I was sick. I got a lot a brand new clinician, new peer specialist and still the same recovery worker so I got some help with my depression. I got hit twice with 2 coping resources in PS2 video game Console and no longer get Celtics games because the tv package changed. Sucks big time. But I found a deal online 101 dvds that covers Georgia Championship Wrestling from 1979 to 1985. That has helped. I enjoy seeing the stars before WWF stole all of them and they became bigger stars. Speaking Of The Giants Do you think Eli Manning will make it to the Hall Of Fame? I can’t believe they are questioning it. You like The Bills they had Mahomes beat but it turned out to be who had the ball last would win. I had some good memories I’m starting to get a lot of readers for my blog. I remember when I was in the hospital the beautiful middle aged woman woman saw me if she could read one of my stories she had a small patch of grey hair by the side of her head. She was impressed more with the fact that there were no grammar or spelling mistakes. She was a highly intelligent doctor wasted by only working weekends. She must work at another hospital. Overall I’m getting a lot of help and support and improving my sugar. Let me know how things are going., AnnMarie=beautifulest woman of all times anyone that says no I’m dying to meet them!

hi there, Dan–
wow-that’s a load of good news for you – I’m happy to read about your health-positive path! You’re finding great online deals too – everything is looking up. You’ve many reasons to smile. Don’t know about Eli Manning. I’ll have to ask Keith about his thoughts on the subject. How lovely a doctor took an interest in reading your work – your work should be read! I really am happy that you’re doing so well and keeping creative as much as you’re able to. Keep going, Dan, you’re my inspiration young man!

Wow, she looks so very very sad and fearful, Ann. I wish to still had her. Have a good weekend. ❤️😎

Hi there, John. I was one of those sad HS students, and I think she reflects my heart at the time. Of course being a full-blooded over-emotional Italian back then did not help😅
A good weekend to you also🌹

I know that woman! 😉 She’s always reminded me of someone found at the Pompeii (sp.?) ruins, caught in the moment of terror, grief. It’s an amazing work of art, AnnMarie. DS
