Tell me how
you make it look so easy
They follow you like puppy dogs
that, I cannot do
I’m the one in the corner
watching all the tails wag
If we were in Rome
they’d be your dancing harem
I’d be off in the market
flattening papyrus
or washing sand from between my ink-covered toes
Forlorn
drawn today while subbing
Beautiful work AnnMarie! Keep up the good work! I love The AnnMarie! AnnMarie= Number One!

No, it never was. I eventually realized, though, that I wasn’t good at everything, at least at a particular moment. And that someone would always show me up for the fraud I was about something. But then, I’m probably better than them at something else. It sort of evens things out. ๐

Amazing drawing. She is very forlorn with sad eyes and pursed lips. Love the poem also.

Thank you, Olga. I’m not quite sure where this face came from. I started with the eyes. I knew I wanted sad childlike windows – but the rest sort of evolved…
Happy Tuesday.

Gorgeous drawing! Subbing is certainly agreeing with you; maybe you should do more of it, ๐ The eyes, lips, hair — astounding, emotive.
The words: a prose poem.
Really, AMRK, hard to believe because you’ve always been great, but I do think you are getting better and better ….
