the woodpecker

I hope you are navigating okay in the world as it is right now.

This morning, I’m listening to a woodpecker attached to the metal gutter, a floor above my studio.
For a few weeks, every morning, he’s been happily pecking away.
His reason for pecking is not what you might think.

I wrote this poem this morning and wanted to shareโค๏ธ โค๏ธ

Stay safe, keep busy, and if you have sky available where you are, every once in awhile look up at the bright blue and the night stars ๐ŸŒน

Pictorial Love Notes for Our Beautiful Mom in a Nursing Home

Since many nursing homes, including the home our beautiful mother is in, are currently closed to visitors, every member of my family sent a pictorial love note.๐Ÿ–Œ

Our mom only has one functioning arm, and her brilliant mind isn’t what it used to be, so she often has phone difficulties. For a lovely Italian woman who is all about family and friends, images with notes are a warm embrace on a lonely day.๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ
We put our pictorial love notes in a binder, and dropped the binder off at her nursing home’s security desk. ๐ŸŒน
If a loved one, or dear friend, is in a nursing home, why not send a pictorial love note ๐Ÿ˜Š
Hope you, your families, and friends are wellโค๏ธ

And thank you, to all those working in the medical field, nursing homes, eldercare and assisted living facilities…you are truly appreciatedโค๏ธ
