  1. Hey, Miss AnnMarie — this post would almost have me believing you’ve become a vegan, 🙂 I like the message (and art) very much. This is a fine turkey, a noble one indeed.

I know you’ve had a hectic autumn, and a sad one too with Rocky’s passing, so I wish you and your family a most wonderfully relaxing (but fun-filled) and restorative Thanksgiving holiday. One of the things I’m thankful for this year is having gotten to meet you and Keith and the kids (2- and 4-footed) in person, and Bob and I thank you so much for your genrous hospitality. I hope we can continue to stay in touch, to continue our blogging friendship in the coming year.
P.S. Just made my last post; except for commenting I won’t be posting for a few days.
P.S.S. You look great! You’ve been working out, haven’t you?! 🙂

    • Hey there, Deb.
To you and yours as well, a Happy and Peaceful Thanksgiving Day – then onto Christmas!!!! Yippy!!!
It’s been slightly uphill of late, but there’s a happy down on the horizon – last day of this subbing gig!!! I’ll feel reborn.
Likewise, meeting you and Bob 🙂
Yes, we will be in each others faces for years to come, I’m sure;)
Today is my last post as well for a few days. ENJOY!!!

    • Maybe don’t think about its history. Instead think about families and friends gathering together…and focus on those images.
One of my sister’s is exceptionally versed in Native American culture. As a matter of fact, part of her dissertation focused on the integration of Native American literature and history into the US’s “old-school” educational system.

  2. Enjoy your celebration and feasting. We had ours back in October. I’m Ukrainian, so cabbage rolls and perogies are a must with the turkey. That turkey looks too cute to eat.

      • Your welcome AnnMarie very grateful for AnnMarie. Well I can’t say it was healthy all that stuffing drove up my sugar high to 280 I just went and walked it off. It was fun day though saw ‘Creed’. Epic movie one of those movies you watch where you need medical assistance from sobbing so much. It was a very heartwarming movie and a great Thanksgiving now onto the next holiday my favorite Christmas!!!!

  3. Thankful for every day. Happy Thanksgiving, dear friend. Today, I go “cold turkey” from news of any kind….newspapers, radio, tv….and instead, concentrate on the joy and laughter of family. That’s a good day, a replenishing day, a rejuvenatement day! May yours be also 🙂

      • Welcome back my friend! I was just wondering about you, sipping my morning elixir…so glad to see your note here.
Thanksgiving in Chicago was fun – always wonderful to see the extended family! Glad your palooza was good. Hope all the dishes are cleared, you’re still nibbling on leftovers and the house is quiet again 🙂

      • Not to worry. Take your time and take care of yourself, my friend. All is well here…tomorrow we’ll fulfill one of my childhood dreams — we’ll tour the White House decorated for Christmas.
